Illinois Backlog Reduced by $17 Million over Past Year

06/07/2011

New Maximum Payment Amounts for FY 2012 Published

Over the past 11 months, the approved claims on the IEPA’s Payments Priority List (payment queue) has been reduced from $62.2 million in payment backlog on June 30, 2010 to $45.2 million through payments posted to the queue through June 7, 2011.

If the IEPA maintains a payout pace of $4.4 million* monthly average, the backlog reduction over this time span will be reduced roughly from 14 months to 10.3 months after receiving payment queue.  However, since Fund revenues* vary from month to month, the funds available to pay approved claims also vary from month to month.
