11/09/2011

On 10/25/11 the EPA Administrator, Lisa P. Jackson, signed proposed rule changes to 40 CFR Parts 280 & 281).  The EPA is currently submitting these proposed changes for publication in the Federal Register (FR).  The Federal underground storage tank (UST) regulations were drafted in 1988, this is the first revision to these regulations.  The proposed changes are intended to protect human health and environment by reducing the number of releases and quickly detecting them, if they do occur.
